Magazine Review:
"There
are 3 tracks on this EP and two appeal to tech-heads. The protagonist
is Ross Couch, a producer who can usually be relied upon to
deliver the goods. 'The Way It Is' is as much techno as it is
house, the brilliantly freaked out hook line is reminiscent
of Jeff Mills, whilst the flying rides are techno through and
through. Add to that the skippy house beats, a smattering of
vocal stabs and some well placed acid and you have one excellent
track. 'Dirty Dancing' is housier but still lives and breathes
on a big dirty b-line and heavy synth sweeps. A system well
worth checking."

Magazine Review:
"If
this was 1999 and I was sad I'd hold a TUNE card aloft every
time I heard this. 'Dirty Dancing' is one mean motherfunker
with a filthy beat and snappy percussion that'll get you swinging
for sure. Meanwhile on the B, 'Set You Free' is a lush piece
of house that nods to the old sckool and 'The Way It Is' get's
on an evil tip. Buy this for 'Dirty Dancing' - you won't be
dissapointed."

Magazine Review:
"After
initial dissapointment that there's no vocal performance from
lord of the dance Patrick Swayze, it's great to see the DTPM
empire back on form. Ross Couch (does this guy ever sleep?)
makes a debut appearance with some concise mainroom action in
three slightly different flavours. The title track is jabbing
tech-house, while 'Set Me Free' goes for an early 90's piano
house vibe, and 'The Way It Is' is all throb and cymbals. The
three tracks are stronger on beats than melodies but all will
space with ease."

Magazine Review:
"The
title track is a cheeky little mover with a heavy techy groove
- a perfect example of why he appeals to so many. Good, solid
stuff. 'Set Me Free' is more jazzy grooves while 'The Way It
Is' finishes things of nicely."

Review:
"With
a seemingly insatiable appetite for producing quality dance
music and an ability to switch effortlessly between genres,
Ross Couch has become an established and highly respected producer
in recent years. with over 20 releases and remixes under his
belt on an impressive list of cutting edge labels Ross adds
to his repertoire with his fanstatic new Dirty Dancing EP under
his new guise System Check for DTRAX. Ross commands the dancefloor
with a prize selection of cuts on this tasty package as the
title track Dirty Dancing sports all the essential credentials
of a deep underground anthem riddled with techy undercurrents
and soaring synths complemented by a fat ass bass riff. Moving
the goalposts entirely, Ross puts one in the back of the soulful
net with Set Me Free as beautifuly deep keys and delicate flutes
glide over a bed of sweeping strings and synth stabs topped
off with a gorgeous vocal hook. Changing the mood again, The
Way It Is comes
packed with energy, bubbling with techy flavas, driving beats
and a large dose of bleep to get the floor well and truly errupting!.."
