Stylo G – ‘Soundbwoy’ Hits Official UK Top 20!

Posted on by rosscouch in News | Leave a comment

Well done to Stylo G who’s ‘Soundbwoy‘ track on 3Beat Records landed at No.18 on the official UK Top 40 on Sunday.

I was lucky enough to be asked to provide the house remix for the EP (which included additional mixes by Sigma and De Genius).

The track looks like like it’ll spend a second week in the chart as it’s currently sitting at No.21 on the UK iTunes chart as I write this. My own ‘Club Mix’ of the track is currently No.2 on Juno Download’s Funky / Club House chart.

Moving on to my own Body Rhythm label, I’m delighted to say that my track ‘Somebody Like You‘ is approaching it’s fifth week in the Traxsource Soulful House top 10 and still resides in the top 30 overall on the site.  It’s also reached as high as No.6 overall on the Stompy site.

There continues to be great DJ Support for the track too, with it recently being charted by house legends like Joey Negro (again!), Richard Earnshaw, Johnny Fiasco and DJ Disciple.

Meanwhile, Shur-I-Kan’s track ‘Kissing‘ is currently at No.24 on the Beatport Chillout chart (peaked at No.12) and is also No.5 over on Traxsource’s Lounge chart.

And finally, I’m happy to say that my brand new ‘Surrender EP‘ comes out tomorrow on Traxsource promo so I’ll be back with links and track previews then.  Stay tuned!

Ross Couch Remixes Of Stylo G – Soundbwoy Out Now!

Stylo G’s track ‘Soundbwoy‘ on 3Beat Records is on course to be a big hit in the UK and I was fortunate enough to be given the chance to do a couple of remixes for it.

The release finally hit stores yesterday and at one stage the four track EP featuring the original along with remixes from Sigma, Di Genius and myself was briefly sitting pretty at No.2 on iTunes overall album chart in the UK!  Since then the original mix has been bounding up the singles chart and at the time of writing, barely 24hrs after release it’s at No.24.

Over at iTunes you can currently purchase my ‘Club Mix’, while Beatport are carrying both that one and additionally my ‘Radio Mix’.

Meanwhile I am also enjoying some chart success of a different kind at the moment with ‘Somebody Like You‘ from my recent ‘Sounds Underground EP’ currently attempting to spend it’s fourth week on Traxsource’s Soulful House Top 10.  It’s No.9 at the moment, but it’s been as high as No.4 on that chart and peaked at No.13 overall on the site.

It’s a great pleasure to welcome the one and only Shur-I-Kan to my Body Rhythm label which his downtempo ‘Studio Fever EP’ which hits stores today.

One of dance music’s most respected producers, Shur-I-Kan is best known for his releases on the revered Freerange label ran by Jimpster over the past decade, including two stellar albums and a string of dancefloor hits.  He’s also an in-demand remixer, runs the popular Dark Energy label with Milton Jackson and is a member of the live dance act, ‘The Bays’.

For this release Shur-I-Kan returns to his roots with a versatile three-track offering that bridges the gap between downtempo and deep house.
