Ross Couch – Resolve EP – Body Rhythm 091

BRR091Art180x180It’s time for my first release of 2016, the ‘Resolve EP’ which arrived today at Traxsource.

I’m looking forward to seeing what this new year brings and I’ve been working hard in the studio lately to ensure there’s lots of good music heading your way in the coming months on my Body Rhythm label which should reach it’s 100th release at some stage in 2016.

The ‘Resolve EP’ is the first of these and it’s nice to see that this one reaches Traxsource with two of the tracks (‘Take Me Higher’ and ‘Addicted To You (4×4 Mix)’ from my previous ‘Uptown Downtown EP’ still in the Soulful House top 100 sales chart along with my remix of The Lucius Project Ft Diana Lynn – ‘Suitcase And A Gun’ (House Trip Recordings) which came out about the same time in early December.

Hopefully some of the tracks from the new release can quickly join them there and get the year off to a good start.

Ross Couch No.16 On Traxsource’s Top 100 Soulful House Artists Of 2015

Posted on by rosscouch in News | Leave a comment

TraxsourceLogoI’m delighted to say Traxsource have placed me at No.16 on their Top 100 Soulful House artists of 2015! Here’s what they had to say about me:

It’s great to be included in the top 20, particularly given just how stacked the level of talent is on there, including some real legends of the House game like this year’s No.1 Louie Vega, his Masters At Work partner Kenny Dope who’s two places above me at No.14, Joey Negro at No.3 who I was lucky enough to remix for last year along with other top talents like Opolopo (No.4) and Richard Earnshaw (No.6) who I was delighted to see charting and playing tracks of mine this year. I could go on as really everybody on there is deserving of their own special mention and I’m happy to be in such great company.

Here’s what Traxsource had to say about me:

“Ross Couch is always the epitome of consistency and 2015 was another strong year from everyone’s favorite Scot. We could have chosen pretty much anything Ross has put out this year as a stand out, but ‘Burning Up’ certainly did that to the world’s dance floors alongside ‘New York City’. Don’t sleep (on Ross’ Couch!)”

The year isn’t over yet though, so don’t forget to check out my brand new ‘Uptown Downtown EP’ which is currently on promo on the site, and my shiny new remix of The Lucius Project Ft Diana Lynn – ‘Suitcase And A Gun’ on House Trip Recordings which landed today and is my second time working with these folks after reworking ‘Falling (Don’t Stop Me)’ earlier in the year.

Leanbacker – Save My Soul (+ Ross Couch Remix): Out Now!

Posted on by rosscouch in News, Releases | Leave a comment

BSB004Art180x180I’m back with a new single from my downtempo Leanbacker project called ‘Save My Soul’ on the Beats Since Birth sub-label.

This one follows the same format as the ‘New York City’ release from a couple of months ago with the original being backed up by a ‘House Edit’ version under my Ross Couch name. This worked out well last time with the Edit reaching No.5 on the Soulful House chart, so it seemed worth doing again, though I would also like to get a purely downtempo release out next time.
