New Leanbacker Single, Ross Couch Remixes And Top 20 Soulful House Artist Achievement

Posted on by rosscouch in News, Releases, Remixes | Leave a comment

BSB003Art180x180There’s lots going on at the moment as you’ll no doubt have gathered from that overly long headline above, so let’s get right to it!

First up, today sees the launch of the next single from my Leanbacker alias called ‘New York City’ on the Beats Since Birth sub-label. As you’d expected the original mix is a downtempo cut, but I’ve also produced a house version under my Ross Couch name too for those who want something that’ll work on the dancefloor and has been getting early airplay on Richard Earnshaw, Lars Behrenroth and Niall Redmond’s shows.

I should also quickly remind you all that my latest ‘In The Skies EP’ is also still out on Traxsource promo at the moment and will come out on full release at all the other usual stores on Monday.

Finally, I’m delighted to say that the good folks over at Traxsource included me at No.18 on their list of the ‘Top 20 Soulful House Artists Of The Years So Far’.

It’s great to be in there, especially as the chart is absolutely stacked with big name producers, including some real legends and pioneers who helped shape house music as we know it.

Here’s what they had to say about me:

“Unsurprisingly, Scotland’s unstoppable-disco-machine Ross Couch finds himself in our chart, with his ‘All I Want’ track a stand out for us so far in 2015. We could have chosen pretty much anything that he’s put out this year, as Body Rhythm – essentially a home for some of Ross’s more soulful productions – consistently delivers the goods and has picked up props from the likes of house heavyweights Grant Nelson and CJ Mackintosh.”

Ross Couch – Sounds Of Seduction (Compilation) – Out Now

Posted on by rosscouch in News, Releases | Leave a comment

BRR084Art180x180Today sees the launch of a new compilation series called ‘Sounds Of Seduction’ on my Body Rhythm label.

The 10 track release takes a look back at some the sexiest, most seductive tracks that I’ve written on the label over the years, including a few big sellers, personal favorites and hidden gems.

When I first started to compile this release I ended up with a huge shortlist of tracks and it was tough to whittle it down, so I definitely envisage this being Volume 1 of an ongoing series that will come out every year or two to compliment my existing ‘Travelogue’ and ‘Summer Soundtrack’ compilations.

There’s no promo period for this release, so it’s available right now at all the usual stores like Traxsource, Beatport, iTunes, Juno and Amazon.

Ross Couch – Face To Face EP – Body Rhythm 067: Out Now

Posted on by rosscouch in News, Releases | Leave a comment

After a break from releasing music over the Christmas period I’m delighted to finally be getting the ball rolling again with my first release in 2014, the ‘Face To Face EP’.

There’s two original tracks from me on this release, but a remix from the one and only Booker T who’s take on Kings Of Soul’s ‘If You take My Love’ was a top 10 smash on Traxsource over the festive season.

DJ Support from the likes of Joey Negro, Grant Nelson, Richard Earnshaw, Laurent Garnier, Johnny Fiasco, Lars Behrenroth and Keith Thompson.

After a good start on promo over at Traxsource that’s saw ‘Face To Face’ reach No.6 on the Jackin House chart, Booker T’s remix of ‘Can’t Deny Your Love’ push up to No.14 on the Soulful House  chart and the full EP climb to No.14 on the overall single chart, it’s now time for the full release so check out where you can get your hands on it below.
